Creosote is a part of high temperature coal tar component, also be a by-product through the distillation process in 230-360℃. It is an aromatic compound, which main composition of anthracene, phenanthrene, fluorine, acenaphthene, carbazole, quinolone, naphthalene and other chemicals.
Physical and Chemical Properties
It is a yellow-green to brown colored oily liquid, crystallization can be produced under room temperature, which is in yellow and blue phosphor, soluble in ethanol and ether except water, partially soluble in hot benzene, chlorobenzene, and other organic solvents. Should be carefully used because of irritant.
