AMI CHEMICALS started its Direct Exports to U.S.A. subsequently the exports increased and the customer base was widened to include countries in South America, Europe and Far East.

    The company diversified in to marketing of Pigments under buy-back agreements with three manufacturers, one each for Pigment Green 7, Phthalocynine Blues and Pigment Yellow, Orange & Reds.

    As an exercise in organisational restructuring, UNIQUE DYE CHEM was promoted as the flagship company and the manufacturing facilities set up at the present address. The plant capacity was 50 tons per month of Reactive Dyes. AMI CHEMICALS became the manufacturing division for Turquoise Blues with its entire capacity of 25 tons per month.

    With the group exports increasing, the capacity at UNIQUE DYE CHEM was increased to 75 tons per month. The total manufacturing capacity since then has been 100 tons per month.

    The company started its diversification by promoting a pigment manufacturing company, AMI PIGMENTS PVT. LTD. to manufacture PIGMENT VIOLET 23.
