We, Zhangjiajie Maoyuan Chemical Industry Co.,Ltd., founded in 1998, are a specialized gallnut extracts provider. We offer purified gallotannic acids, gallic acids and pyrogallic acids analogues all derived from gallnut. The products are intended for food processing, pharmaceutical and other purposes. 90% more of the products are now for export, mainly to US and EU.
Curently we have 170 employees, including a technical workforce of 68. And our R&D activities are positively backed by the Institute of Forestry Chemicals, Chinese Academy of Forestry and the Forestry Chemical Lab of Hunan Province. Our comany has been highly recognized by local communities and government. And our research efforts on gallnut extracts are funded by National Torch Plan, a nationwide sci-tech promotion program.
In the past years, we have been expanding rapidly through continuous investments which now amounts to a total of more than RMB ¥80 million. In April 28 2003, we set up Wufeng Xiangyuan Chemical Industry Co.,Ltd. in Yichang, Hubei Province, after acquistion of its forerunner Hubei Shanshan Forestry Chemical Co., Ltd. The new branch will increase our production capacity of gallnut extracts up to something beyond 3,000 tonnes, well sustaining us to be the largest gallnut products provider in China.
