The company was founded 1950 in Hameln by the physician and pharmacist Prof. Dr. med. G黱ther Kerstein. Yet the roots go back a lot further then, the origins are to be found in the Raths-Apotheke in Hameln. This pharmacy opened its door in 1611 and today it is the oldest pharmacy in Hameln.
