CHARACTERISTICS
  This product is a kind of white or slight yellow suspension mixed with just right quantity of propellant and kept in a pressurised canister with a metered valve system.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
  It is an adrenocortical hormone, which exerts effects on glycometabolism, and of anti-inflammation and antianaphylaxis.
Inhaling of the spray enables the controlling of bronchitis and edema, thus relieving asthma.
ABSORPTION, DISTRIBUTION AND EXCRETION
35% of the drug enters the lungs. The remaining is swallowed, 90% of which are absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract, and inactivated rapidly by the liver. The antiasthmatic effect lasts 4-6 hours.
INDICATIONS
  It is indicated for bronchial asthma which does not respond to adrenocortical hormones or other drugs.
DOSAGE AND ADMINSTRATION
Adult: 1-2 doses each time.1-3 times a day.
Children: 1/2 the adult dose or follow the physician’s directions.
SIDE EFFECTS
No notable side effects are found in the recommended dosage except for sometimes dry mouth or hoarseness. Some patients using the spray for a long time may develop candidiasis albicans in oral cavity or in the throat. It is unnecessary to cease treatment. Antifungal agents may be topically given if necessary.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
The drug is contraindicated in patients with tuberculosis.
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of this preparation contraindicates its use.
PRECAUTIONS
1. The initial effect of the drug starts 2-3 days later. At the beginning of the onset, the attack should be controlled by other antiasthmatics.
2. When the treatment with the drug is started, the adrenocortical steroid should be gradually withdrawn.
3. After usage, the patient should gargle with warm boiled water, which may be swallowed, so that the infection of candida albicans may be avoided.
4. If you are using the inhaler for the first time or if the inhaler has not been used for a week, release one puff into the air.
5.The canister is pressurised. Keep away from sunlight and heat. Do not puncture, break or burn even when apparently empty.
IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
Please use as directed by the physician.
OVERDOSAGE
When used at excessive doses, systemic corticosteroid effects such as hypercorticism and adrenal suppression may appear.

HOW TO USE YOUR INHALER PROPERLY

 

1) Remove the cover from the mouthpiece and shake the inhaler vigorously.
2) Holding the inhaler as shown, breathe out gently (but not fully) and then immediately…
3) Place the mouthpiece in the mouth and close your lips around it. After starting to breathe in slowly and deeply through your mouth, press the inhaler firmly, as shown, to release it and continue to breathe in.
4) Hold your breath for 10 seconds, or as long as is comfortable, before breathing out slowly.
5) If you are to take a second inhalation you should wait at least one minute before repeating steps 2, 3 and 4.
6) After use, replace the cover on the mouthpiece.
