Synthesis path:
Prepared by reacting 1,4-butanediol with sodium methoxide.
Starting from 4-chlorobutanol, nucleophilic substitution reaction 1 is carried out with sodium methoxide.
1,3-dioxolane is reacted with formaldehyde under specific conditions and then reduced or hydrolyzed to obtain it.
Synthesis is carried out using 4-methoxybutyric acid methyl ester as a precursor through reduction reactions (such as using reducing agents such as lithium aluminum hydride).
Obtained by reacting diazomethane with 4-hydroxybutanal or its derivatives, followed by hydrolysis.
Among these routes, some literature reported synthesis efficiency, such as one route with a yield of about 89%. The specific reaction conditions, catalysts, and purification methods may vary depending on the laboratory or industrial scale, typically involving anhydrous operations and inert atmosphere protection.
