  Barium Stearate toxic, soluble in benzene, toluene, and other non-polar solvents, insoluble in water and ethanol, cooling into jelly after heating dissolve in organic solvents, water absorption in the air, non-sulfide pollution, in acid decomposing into stearic acid and corresponding barium salt. Pay attention to moisture in storage and transportation. As stabilizer and lubricant for PVC, Barium Stearate has the best long term heat resistance of all Alkaline earth metal stearates.
