  [Drug name]English Name: Benzoylmetronidazole Dispersible Tablets
  Chinese Pinyin: Benxian Jiaxiaozuo Fensanpian
  [Composition]The main ingredients is benzoylmetronidazole.
  [Description]White or off-white tablets
  
  [Indications]
  1. Urogenital system trichomoniasis, such as vaginal Trichomoniasis.
  2. Intestinal and extraintestinal amoebiasis, such as amoebiasis and amoebic liver abscess etc.
  3. Giardiasis
  4. All kind of infections caused by sensitive anaerobic bacteria, such as bacteremia, sapraemia, abdomen infections post operation etc.
  5. Prevent gynecology, surgery infections post operation caused by anaerobic bacteria.
  
  [Usage Consumption]As dispersible tablets, you can take by mouth or swallow directly, or take product into 100ml water, oral after dispersion.
  
  Take it 1 hour before a meal, the dosage of adults and children above 12 years old as follow
  1. Cure of infections by sensitive anaerobic bacteria: 3 times everyday, 0.64G each time, continuously take for 7 days.
  2. As preventive medication: Take 24 hours before operation; Dose is 0.64G each time, continuously takes for 7 days.
  3. Amoebiasis:
  1) Intestinal amoebiasis: 3 times everyday, 1.28g each time, continuously take for 5 days.
  2) Chronic amebichepatitis: 3 times everyday, 0.64G each time, continuously take for 5~10 days.
  3) Amoebic liver abscess and other kind of extraintestinal amoebiasis: 3 times everyday, 0.64G e ach time, continuously take for 5 days.
  4) Urogenital system trichomoniasis: 3 times everyday, 0.32g each time, continuously take for 7 days; Or dose as 3.2g after meals.
  5) Giardiasis: 1 time everyday, 3.2g each time, continuously take for 7 days.
  [Adverse Reactions]Occasionally appear off flavor in mouth, coated tongue, stomach and intestine are not comfortable, somnolence, dizziness, headache, Ataxia, tetter, pruritus, locomotor ataxia, black urine (caused by metabolism) and so on had been reported, but rarely seen. It was reported that few cases about peripheral nervous system appeared under large dose or long term therapy.
  
  [Contraindications]
  1. Persons have hypersensitivity to product are forbidden.
  2. Pregnant women and women in lactation are forbidden.
  3. Patients with active central nervous system disease and blood disease are forbidden.
  
  [Precautions]
  1. Patients should be temperance during product is used.
  2. Urine may appear dark color after using product.
  3. After benzoylmetronidazole hydrolyzing, its absorption slower and peak value is lower compared with taking metronidazole; Therefore, benzoylmetronidazole should be carefully used for commencing therapy of acute cases.
  4. Patients with dysfunction of liver and kidney should decrease dose or follow the advice of physician.
  
  [Drug Interaction]
  1. Product can increase the anticoagulation of warfarin etc.
  2. Terramycin can disturb the effect of eliminating Trichomoniasis.
  [Overdosage]Clinical character, very less abnormality indication or symptom.
  Treatment, take large dose of drug itself may lead to vomit, if not, tranquilizing first, and then make lavage.
