  Bisphenol AF is used to cure or cross-link fluorocarbon elastomers, often in conjunction with an accelerator such as triphenyl benzylphosphonium chloride ( BTPPC ) by producing fluoroelastomers with convenient processing and excellent properties in the final elastomer, including compression set, chemical resistance and thermal stability.
  
  Bisphenol AF is also useful as a monomer in the synthesis of specialty polyimides, polyamides, polyesters, polycarbonates, polyurethanes, and other polymers.Polymers containing Bisphenol AF are useful in high-temperature composites, in electronic materials, in gas permeable membranes, and in other specialty polymer applications
