  3. Properties
  Dibasic lead stearate, relative density is 2.15 , melting point above 280℃ (with decomposition), refractive index of 1.60, over 100℃ easy caking, insoluble in water, soluble in diethyl ether, non-flammable and corrosive ,in acid decomposes into stearic acid and the corresponding lead salt, storage and transportation should pay attention to moisture. Dibasic lead stearate as a stabilizer and lubricant for PVC , has a strong heat-resistant and excellent lubrication function, it’s widely used in the production of rigid plates and pipes, used in conjunction with dibasic and tribasic salt can achieve very good synergy effects.
