With advantage of CMC&HEC
High viscosity
High water-binding capacity
Good flocculating action
More compatible than CMC
Introduction
HECMC is a kind of modified water-soluble cellulose ether with the advantage of both carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) because of the presence of the nonionic hydroxyethyl groups.
1, High water-binding capacity and good flocculating action on suspended solids just like CMC, and more compatible than CMC with salts.
2, Higher viscosity because of its superior capability to cross-link with multivalent cations.
3, It can be easily gelled by cross-linking with cations such as iron, aluminum, chromium to supply an efficient media for suspending particulate matter.
Application:
1 Oil-recover: HECMCs have excellent ability to control over fluids containing high salinity and also can effectively reduce water loss in cement slurries
2 Fracturing fluids: suitable for suspending and transporting sand or other particulate into a well bore and the fracture.
