Appearance: White or offwhite powder. Odorless.

Particle size: 100% through 100 mesh sieve.

Solubility: Dissolves in cold water to form viscous colloidal solution. Insoluble in ethyl ether and chloroform; soluble in methanol-dichloromethane solution, water containing acetone and ethanol.

Surface activity: surface tension of solution 42-56dynes/cm。

Gel point: 50℃-90℃

Stability: Dry powder is stable under normal storage condition. Solution is stable at pH3.0-11.0. Aqueous solution is susceptible to microorganism.
