Resveratrol is a naturally
occurring phytoalexine found in
medicinal plants. Resveratrol is
an active component extracted from
Huzhang (Polygonum cuspidatum) in
China. It is an antioxidant phenol

synthesis, lipid peroxidation, and
platelet aggregation. It is
extensively used for treatment of

atherosclerosis and
