  Physical and chemical properties: yellow brown flaky matter, easy to deliquescent, decompound at melting hours and release hydrogen sulfide, soluble in water and alcohol. Solution is strongly alkaline. React with acid and produce hydrogen sulfide. Industrial product is solution, orange or yellow, bitter taste. 
  。Uses: dye industry for the synthesis of organic intermediates and as the auxiliary for the preparation sulfur dyes. Tanning industry for hair removal and tanning, also used for wastewater treatment; fertilizer industry for the removal of elemental sulfur from activated carbon desulfurizer. Material of manufacturing ammonium sulfide and semi-finished products of ethanethiol. Used extensively for the beneficiation of copper ore industry. Used in the sulfurous acid dyeing for the production of man-made fibers.
