  　　Sodium Metabisulfite Property:

  　　White or slightly yellow crystalline powder. Soluble in water, acidic aqueous solution. Soluble in glycerol, slightly soluble in ethanol. Easily decompose when sodium metabisulphite 97% becomes wet , When exposed in air it will easily oxidize into sulfate. Emit sulfur dioxide and generate the corresponding salts when Sodium pyrosulfite contacts with acid. Sodium metabisulfite 96.5% powder will decompose when heated to 150℃.
