  The main function of the square kelly is to turn the rotation of the rotary table into the rotation of the whole drill string and the drilling bit, and the straturn breaking can be fulfilled, that is to transmit the torque and to bear the full weight of the drill string.
  Our Square kellies are made from AISI 4145H modified alloy bars that are quenched and tempered full length. After such heat treatment, its brinell hardness can reach 285-341. Kelly's end, drive cross-section and joint are all processed and tested conform to API criterion.
