Density is 1.095g/cm3,mlelting point is 120°C, insoluble in water, soluble in hot ethanol and ether, soluble in acid. While heating dissolved in organic solvents, it will turned into jelly in case of cold. The Case of acid decomposed into stearic acid and corresponding salts.
  Use
  
  This product is mainly used as non-toxic PVC stabilizer, also used for releasing agent in cosmetics and styrene resin.
