[Specification]:

Solid solution formed by silicon and Fe through mutual melting. Solicon and Fe can mutually melt and form a series of silicon compounds in any proportion. Melting point is 1280癈, and specific gravity is 3.11 for ferrosilicon which contains 72% of silicon; and for 75%, 1300癈 and 3.01.

[Usage]:

Widely used in stealmaking, non-ferrous metal casting and other industries. It is a fine deoxidiser and alloying agent and also an inoculant in nodular cast iron. It is greatly. used as a reductant in silicon iron melting.
