DescriptionTC-DMDMH derived from imidazole is one of a class of organic heterocyclic compounds of five-membered ring structure composed of three carbon atoms and two nitrogen atoms at nonadjacent positions with dione form. TC-DMDMH It is a white crystalline compound; melting at 222℃TC-DMDMH has broad-spectrum activity against Gramnegative and Gram-positive bacteria, yeasts and moulds. TC-DMDMH is quietly water & alcohol soluble, with fine compatibleness and heat-resistance. There is little unihindered methanal in TC-DMDMH, so it is safety to add it in personal care products. TC-DMDMH is a 55% solution of DMDM hydantoin in water. It can be used in a wide pH range. Low irritation to skin and eyes.

Formulating GuidelinesTypical use concentrations are in the range of 0.1-0.6% (w/w) in the final products.

It is highly recommended for water containing systems with pH 3 to 8.TC-DMDMH may be added directly to aqueous formulations. In hot processes such as emulsification, it is advisable to add TC-DMDMH during the cooling stage at a temperature preferably below 60℃.
