white or light yellow crystalline solid,Melting point 36-39℃,boiling point 253℃,Density: 0.914(25℃).Inflammable,it has the characteristic odor of alkyl phenol.It is easily soluble in alcohol,ether,paraffin and arene,not soluble in water.

Application:
It is the mother substance of hindered phenol type of antioxidant , it can be used in antioxidant 1010,1076,3114,702,330 and light stabilizer 2002; It is the pharmaceutical intermediate too, or used as antioxidant in lube.
