The Lignite Resin for Drilling Fluid (SPNH)

The Lignite Resin for Drilling Fluid (SPNH) is a kind of multi-copolymer fluid loss agent for drilling fluid which is processed from nitro humic acid, sulfomethylation phenolic resin and others. After using SPNH in freshwater and saltwater drilling fluid, we will deserve some advantage, such as reducing viscosity, anti high temperature and anti salt effect.
There is sulfonic group on the benzene ring of SPNH, and the sulfonic groups connect with carbon atoms. So the SPNH is stable under high temperature. There is -SO3Na on the adjacent position and contraposition of SPNH. The hydration is good, and the bond energy of associated water is high. So the water-solubility of SPNH is good. The SPNH is stable under high temperature and salt water circumstance, the SPNH has some advantage, such as reducing fluid loss, anti-caving and Lubricating. The SPNH can form thin and tough mud cake, so is has fluid loss control and lubricating effect. It can be used under high temperature up to 200 ℃. It can reduce fluid loss in fresh water and salt water drilling fluid. The SPNH is non-toxic and does not pollute environment. After using SPNH in drilling fluid, the rheological property is stable and the HTHP filtration is lower. The SPNH can reinforce borehole wall, so it is good for anti-caving and anti-sticking.
The recommended concentration for drilling fluids is 1~3 percents.
