| Detailed Description: | Cas No. :56-86-0 Glutamate is one of the 20 common alpha amino acids that make up proteins. It is a white or colorless scaly crystal at room temperature, which is slightly acidic and non-toxic. Slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in hot water, almost insoluble in ether, acetone and cold acetic acid, and insoluble in ethanol and methanol. L-glutamic acid is widely used as a medicine to treat hepatic coma. It can also be used to produce monosodium glutamate (sodium glutamate), food additives, spices and biochemical research. |
