    Items in store or transit can often be irrevocably damaged by water vapour in the surrounding atmosphere that causes corrosion or mould growth. With the simple precaution of a safe and inexpensive desiccant silica gel sachet enclosed with the item, these problems can be eliminated. Silica gel will adsorb the offending water vapour and thus produce a dry, low humidity atmosphere in which this problem does not occur.
