    Introduction.:
Sodium saccharin, also known as soluble saccharin, is the sodium salt of saccharin, with two crystal water, easy to lose it and change to anhydrous. Sodium Saccharin is unstable when heated but it does not react chemically with other food ingredients. As such, it stores well. Blends of sodium saccharin with other sweeteners are often used to compensate for each sweetener's weaknesses. As a sweet taste agent, its sweet degree is about 500 times sweeter than that of sugar. In countries where sodium saccharin is allowed as a food additive, it is used to sweeten products such as drinks, candies, medicines, toothpaste, and electroplainting etc.
    Product Identification.:
    Product name: Sodium saccharin
    Synonyms:Sodium ortho-sulphobenzimide dihydrate

    Molecular Formula: C7H4O3NSNa·2H2O
    Molecular Weight: 241.19
    Molecular structure: →
    CASE NO: 6155-57-3
Product Grade: Food grade / Industrial grade
    Mesh: 4-6, 5-8, 8-16, 10-20, 20-40, 40-80, 80-100 etc.
    Physical & Chemical Properties.:
It is a colorless crystal or white crystalline powder, odorless or slight odor, flavor very sweet.
Easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol..
Weak of heat resistance and alkali resistance, sweet taste gradually disappeared under the condition of heating, the solution more than 0.026% was bitter, and may form a o-amino-sulfonyl benzoic bitter liquid.
    Application.:
Sodium saccharin is widely used in following sectors:
1). Food and beverage: Cold drink, jelly, preserved fruits, protein, sugar, etc.
2). Feed additives: Animal feed, sweet etc.
3). Daily chemical industry: toothpaste, wind, saliva, eye drops, etc.
    4). Electroplating industry: plating brightener.
5). It also can be used as assay agent of blood circulation and Nicket-plated brightener.
