  3.Application: Strontium nitrate is used to manufacture liquid crystal glass, red-fireworks, railway, waterway and airport lights. It is used in National Defense Industry to manufacture signal flare and flame tube. It is also used in manufacturing red illuminant agent and optical glass of television picture tube.

  1.Properties: Strontium nitrate is colorless or white crystal powder. It is well-soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone. The relative density is 2.986. The melting point is 570℃. It is low-toxic, strong-oxidizing and irritant. It’ll burn or explode with dark-red flame when oscillated, rubbed and crashed with organics or in case of fire.
