  Magnesium sulfate, another name, sulfate bitter, bitter salt, epsomite, epsom salt is a magnesium compound. It air-slakes to power easily in dry air and loses its crystal water to become magnesium sulfate anhydrous which commonly used as a chemical reagent or the drying agent. But magnesium sulfate usually is taken as magnesium sulfate heptahydrate because it is reluctant to dissolve, which can be easily measured in industrial application.
