It is also found in wheat bran and some fruits and vegetables. People use it as medicine. Gamma oryzanol is used for high cholesterol and symptoms of menopause and aging. Some people use it for increasing testosterone and human growth hormone levels, as well as improving strength during resistance exercise training. Usage: Gamma Oryzanol is a mixture of 6 substances derived from rice bran oil, including sterols and ferulic acid, called Cycloartanyl Ferulate or Triterpene alcohol ferulate. It has been approved in Japan f or several conditions, including menopausal symptoms, mild anxiety, stomach upset, and high cholesterol. In the US, it is widely used as a sports supplement, as well as for reducing cholesterol. Gamma Oryzanol is widely used as a food additive, pharmaceutical material. In cosmetic area, the application to creams and sunscreens exploiting its skin age resistor function and ultraviolet absorbing eff ect. How does it work? Gamma oryzanol might reduce cholesterol levels by reducing absorption of cholesterol from foods. Gamma oryzanol is also often promoted for treating menopause, but it is unclear how it would work for this use. Some researchers suspect it might be helpful due to effects on luteinizing hormone (LH). However, this effect has not been shown in people. Some people use gamma oryzanol for increasing testosterone and growth hormone levels. However, gamma oryzanol appears to have no effect on these hormone levels. In fact, animal studies suggest that gamma oryzanol might even reduce testosterone production. What are the benefit of taking Gamma oryzanol ? There are some pretty significant benefits of gamma oryzanol. Firstly, it stimulates the release of endorphins - these are hormones in our bodies that make us “feel good.” These hormones are responsible for stimulating the pleasure centers located in our brain, which in return elevates our levels of mood. Secondly, gamma oryzanol has been shown to display a strong antioxidant characteristic. In fact, one study performed shown that it was anywhere up to ten times stronger and more effective than vitamin E for destroying free radicals from the body. This is important because this prevents tissue damage that can possibly result from actions of free radicals. By elevating levels of testosterone in our bodies, it has the ability to boost strength, reduce body fat, increase muscle gain, and speed up the recovery time that we endure after each workout. |
