SOURCE: Perilla colours is obtained from red leaves of perilla (Perolla frutescens), with components of an-thocyanins and other flavonoides.
APPEARANCE: Dark red powder. PROPERTIES AND FORMULATIONS: Soluble in water, ethanol and acetic; insoluble in oil. Good stability and coloring ability. It produces red in acidic condition, henna in neutral condition and green in alkaline condition. Applicable to acidic food such as soft drinks, jams and jellies etc. Color Value 522nm PH 3.0 : NLT 300 . |
