Quantity: 1000Metric Tons "Potassium lactate powder is the solid potassium salt of natural L-Lactic acid, It is a hydroscopic, white, odorless solid and is prepared by the neutralization of lactic acid with potassium hydroxide. It's free flowing hygroscopic salt and has a neutral pH. Food Uses Potassium lactate is commonly used in meat and poultry products to extend shelf life and increase food safety as it has a broad antimicrobial action and is effective at inhibiting most spoilage and pathogenic bacteria. It enhances the color, juiciness, flavor and tenderness of pork. It also slows the process of flavor deterioration. Potassium lactate is added to foods as a flavor agent and enhancer. It is also a humectant, meaning that it helps foods retain water and keeps them moist longer. Potassium lactate also helps maintain the acid levels in food. It make your food look and taste better and protect you from foodborne illness. Non-Food Uses In cosmetics and personal care products, these ingredients are used in the formulation of moisturizers, cleansing products, and other skin care products, as well as in makeup, shampoos, hair dyes and colors and other hair care products.
